Our beautiful boy joined God in heaven on Friday, September 22. He was 29. He was smart, strong, funny, kind, compassionate and full of love. A horrible accident ended his life. He suffered with bipolar disorder (manic depressive illness) coupled with addiction. This is a debilitating disease often stigmatized by society and mishandled by our medical system. Nick fought hard and we had high hopes. We thank those who helped him along the way and all those who loved him.
This story is like so many others. Most of us have lives that have been touched by mental illness. Wonderful, strong, sensitive people struggle daily to understand and cope with an illness that no one understands. Please contribute to this fund in honor and memory for those who continue to fight and in honor and love for those who have lost the battle.
