Thank you so much for your critical support of DBSA. Your generosity and trust in DBSA make it possible for peer support to remain available to people navigating depression and bipolar disorder—especially during times of transition and growth. As DBSA evolves, our commitment to peer-led support and community remains unchanged.

Suzanne Baber, LCSW, DBSA Director of Peer Support ServicesA Note from Suzanne Baber, LCSW, Interim CEO

Hello—I’m Suzanne Baber, and I’m honored to serve as Interim CEO of Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance.

For more than 15 years, I’ve helped mission-driven organizations grow stronger through fundraising, finance, and program development—all grounded in person-centered care and equitable access to mental health support. I’m passionate about building systems that deliver real, measurable outcomes for the people they’re meant to serve.

Moving DBSA forward—together

DBSA is entering an important next chapter made possible by the commitment of our supporters and community. We’re preparing to launch our next strategic plan, focused on validating peer support and strengthening its role within standard treatment protocols.

This work will help DBSA expand partnerships, secure new funding, and continue delivering resources that foster community, connection, and wellness for people living with mood disorders.

We look forward to keeping you informed about this work as the plan takes shape.

A Moment of Impact

Every day, people turn to DBSA during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives—seeking wellness, community, and hope.

Because of donors like you, individuals such as Neville and Cy, found welcoming, peer-led spaces where they felt understood and less alone. Through DBSA, they discovered connection, purpose, and tools to support their wellness.

Your generosity plays a vital role in sustaining DBSA’s work—from free support groups and education to practical wellness tools that help people move forward.

Many members of the DBSA community think thoughtfully about their giving throughout the year. As part of our commitment to transparency and donor education, we share resources on non-cash giving options and upcoming changes to charitable giving tax laws.

Thank You Again

Thank you for your continued partnership, trust, and belief in DBSA’s mission. If you have questions about this update or about giving, please contact our Development Team at development@dbsalliance.org or 312-988-1161. We are always happy to connect.
