Employee Giving

Matching Gifts

Grow your gift by contacting your Human Resource department about the different employee match programs and policies they have available to you. Employee match programs are an easy and great way to increase your giving without going over your budget. All you have to do is give your human resources department our contact information and make your gift. We will confirm your gift with your employer and they will match your gift according to their policy. Many employers will even match your or your partner’s gift even after you retire.

Community Health Charities (CHC)

Your organization may have a workplace giving campaign. These campaigns are typically part of Community Health Charities (CHC) programs, and donations are taken directly out of your check. To give through such programs, you will need to know that DBSA’s CHC code is 12000.

Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

Additionally, each year federal employees and military personnel donate millions of dollars through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), benefiting thousands of not-for-profit organizations. If you are a federal government or military employee, you can contribute to DBSA through the CFC by writing 12000 on your CFC pledge card. For more information, contact the Office of CFC Operations at (202) 606-2564.

The United Way

Many employers facilitate donations through United Way. If this is the case, locate the “donor option,” “donor choice”or“other 501 (3) (c) organization,” line on your giving form and write:

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance
55 E. Jackson Blvd., Suite 490
Chicago, IL 60604

Your local United Way will forward your gift to DSBA.

Corporate Giving

Corporations can designate a gift to provide overall operational support, to underwrite or sponsor an existing program, or to help develop a new program.

Corporations may also support DBSA’s mission by partnering with us in:

  • Workplace Giving Campaigns
  • Matching Gift Programs
  • Cause Marketing Efforts
  • Sponsorship Opportunities
