It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and daughter, Payal Patel. Payal struggled with severe depression for a long time. She was strong enough to never let it interfere with the care and love that she had for her friends, loved ones and community, but recently she lost her battle. We will miss her tremendously. Payal’s struggle is also something millions of other individuals share. She would have wanted to impart upon the world a greater awareness of mental health issues and the resources available to those who struggle with the disease of depression.
