John Kim was our beautiful son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, artist, adventurer, erudite, goofball, and love. His heart was huge, his brain, on fire. He amazed everyone with his instinctive creativity, bottomless (and annoying!) knowledge, and his natural generosity. He also suffered from mental illness for years and struggled to find the balance that kept him himself and healthy. We, his family, wish desperately that he and we had better tools and knowledge to have supported his illness in a way that would allow him to still be with us today.
