DBSA’s mission is to make wellness accessible to all through strategies like peer councils, market research, and advisory boards. We offer several peer council opportunities for individuals to share their experiences.

What is a peer council?

A peer advisory council is a group of people with lived experience (similar to a focus group) who share their perspectives, experiences, and reactions to questions, content, or protocols.

What will the peer council participants be asked to do?

The peer council will be a 90-minute virtual meeting with other peers and care partners. We are interested in learning about your experience in order to create new resources for our community and influence available treatment options.

What are the requirements for the peer council participants?

Participants must be 18 years or older and have reliable internet access and the ability to participate in an online video conference, such as Teams or Zoom.

What should I do if I am interested?

Each opportunity has specific experiences that will be highlighted. If you’re interested in participating, please take the pre-screener survey. It should take 4-5 minutes to complete the pre-screener. We will reach out if one of the opportunities seems to be a good match for you.
