Danielle Martin-Jensen, MPH, SUDRC (They/Them/Theirs) is a Substance Use Disorder counselor at Summer Sessions Counseling, where they provide direct care through individual counseling and group facilitation, supporting relapse prevention, recovery planning, and case management. They also serve as a Behavioral Health Enhanced Care Management Navigator at Transitions-Mental Health Association where they connect clients to community resources and provide peer support and case management for individuals and families navigating mental health needs.

Danielle has a multidisciplinary background, spanning work in public health with American Indian and Alaska Native communities as well as formal education in Russian and French translation. They are dedicated to understanding the interactions between individual, community, local, and policy factors as they relate to mental and behavioral health. They prioritize culturally responsive care, harm reduction, and community engagement.

They have been living with Bipolar Disorder for many years and are driven to help others find hope and a sense of empowerment that supports them in thriving. Whether you live with a mood disorder, are a loved one of someone who does, or are a compassionate community member, you can play a crucial role in DBSA’s mission. They encourage everyone to learn more and explore volunteer opportunities.
