Laughing, writer, friend to all, loved awesome jewelry, brother John his best friend, mom bought him the expensive clothes, perfect hair, perfect "look" wherever he went, wanted to be an English professor, watched science fiction series over and over, wanted to study physics in first grade, long talks with dad about movies and motorcycles, hated to get up in the morning, cared about people who are homeless, believed in a Higher Power, something Greater than him in life

Fundraising Goal

The goal is to offer a scholarship for the “Peer Specialist Training” approximately $1000 each course, one scholarship for five years. This is an excellent training for leaders of DBSA Chapter support and education groups in the U.S.

Update:

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of all who have given to the Dan Magrini Memorial Fund. Pete, Cheri and John would like to offer additional scholarships through the five years as funds are donated. Thank you for your generosity.

Dear Pete and Cheri,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son, Dan. I can't think of a better way to honor Dan's life than to join so many others in supporting your tribute fund for the DBSA. I have a brother with bipolar and so appreciate your generous choice in choosing this organization. Dan will live on in spirit within your family and those whose heart he touched. My prayers are with you.

Magrini's,
I was stunned to hear about Dan's passing. I remember him as a sweet kid who did not have a mean bone in his body. As an advocate for mental illness, this pains me and all I can say is he will be missed and bless you for raising awareness about mental health initiatives. I know my brother is shaken and sends his best.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy. You don't get over it, you just get through it. Your don't get by it, because you can't get around it. It doesn't 'get better'; it just gets different. Everyday... Grief puts on a new face...We miss you and love you Dan, you will always be in our hearts!
R.I.P my friend!

Knowing that Dan is safe with God and feeling it are two different things, I know. I pray that somehow God will be present with you in your journey through this darkness. The Order and indeed the whole Conference were and are lifting you in prayer.
