Get Involved
You can get involved and make a real difference, not only in your own life, but in the lives of others. By getting involved you can do something that makes a tremendous difference in providing hope, help and support to those living with bipolar disorder and depression.
There are many ways to get involved. For example, you can:
- Join or start a local DBSA chapter. There are approximately 1000 DBSA support groups nationwide, all started and operated by volunteers and people living with bipolar disorder or depression.
- Register for DBSA’s speakers’ bureau. Help educate people about bipolar disorder and depression by serving as a source for the media or speaking to groups and organizations.
- Talk to us. By frequently participating in DBSA’s online surveys, you can help us better understand the needs of patients, families and other stakeholder groups. As a result, we can work more effectively on your behalf.
- Become an advocate. Help eliminate stigma and improve access and treatment, in your local community and nationwide.
- Volunteer. You can find links to volunteer resources with DBSA and other organizations by clicking on the volunteer link.
- Donate. No gift is too small. All gifts are tax deductible.
Those are just a few of the ways that you can help DBSA fulfill its mission. Just remember to do something. It’s not just about helping others, it’s about helping and empowering yourself.
