Meet with people who are looking for your expertise, reinforce your organization’s presence or introduce yourself to the community by exhibiting at the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) 2008 National Conference.
DBSA is the leading patient-directed national organization focusing on the most prevalent mental illnesses. The organization fosters an environment of understanding about the impact and management of these life-threatening illnesses by providing up-to-date, scientifically-based tools and information written in language the general public can understand. DBSA supports research to promote more timely diagnosis, develop more effective and tolerable treatments and discover a cure. The organization works to ensure that people living with mood disorders are treated equitably. DBSA was founded in 1985.
The DBSA National Conference draws 400-500 attendees annually. Attendees are predominately consumers, but also represent family members, academia, government and clinicians in research, hospitals and private practice.

Exhibit Dates and Hours
Friday, Sept. 12 1:00 p.m. 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 13 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
The exhibit area will be available for set up on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, from 8:00 11:00 a.m. All exhibits must be installed by 11 a.m. Assembly of exhibits during the regularly scheduled exhibit hours is not permitted.
All exhibits must remain intact until the official closing time of Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at 4:00 p.m., and may not be dismantled or removed, in whole or in part, before that time. After the close of exhibits, all material must be removed no later than 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008.
Exhibits and Signs
Each exhibit space will include one 6'x30” covered table and two chairs. Exhibits will be tabletop only. Freestanding floor exhibits and/or standing equipment require DBSA approval at time of application and additional fees may apply. A tabletop sign will be provided to each exhibitor.
DBSA will make all space assignments and reserves the right to alter the floor plan at any time. There are a limited number of available spaces. Tables will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis and at the discretion of DBSA. The date we receive your submission will be a key factor. We will confirm booth approval no later than July 30.
Tabletop exhibits are $900 for a single table. A discounted rate of $300 is available for not-for-profit organizations (501(c)6 or 501(c)3 tax status). Full prepayment of the contracted space cost must be provided within 14 days of application approval. You will receive a confirmation of approval no later than July 30. DBSA accepts MasterCard, VISA, Discover Card and American Express. Checks, in U.S. dollars only, should be made payable to the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance and mailed to:

A conference registration form will be sent to you in your exhibitor services kit once you have contracted for a tabletop exhibit.
All participants affiliated with exhibits must be registered. Each person will be issued an exhibitor badge and must be employed by the exhibiting organization or have a direct business affiliation. Exhibiting companies are limited to one complimentary registration. Additional registrations are available at the regular registration price.
DBSA does not provide security for exhibits. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to protect display material from loss or damage. Be certain that all small display and personal items are secure before leaving the display, even temporarily.
DBSA has negotiated with the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel special rates of $109 per night for single or double and $129 for triple or quad occupancy rooms. Room rates are subject to state and city taxes, which are currently 13%, plus a $1 flat bed tax per room, per day. To reserve a room at the discounted rate, call (888) 627-8042 and identify yourself as a DBSA National Conference attendee. Reservations can also be made online by visiting www.dbsalliance.org/conference2008. Be sure to make your reservations before Aug. 11, 2008; afterward, the discounted room rate may not apply. All reservations require a first-night room deposit, or you may guarantee your reservation with a major credit card. If you need to cancel, do so at least 48 hours before arrival to avoid a cancellation charges.
Exhibit Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing by Aug. 3, 2008, will be subject to a 25 percent administrative fee. No refund is possible for cancellations received after Aug. 3, 2008.
