Getting to the Conference
Be sure to visit the Hotel and Travel section of the conference website for information on things like FREE parking, Greyhound bus, and Metra and Amrak train options, discounted airport taxi services, and much more!

Booking Your Hotel Room
DBSA has negotiated very reasonable rates for attendees at the conference hotel, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa. Visit the Hotel and Travel section of the conference website for information on booking your hotel room by phone or online.

Room Temperature
Conference meeting rooms often fluctuate in temperature. While we and the hotel do our best to stay on top of temperature concerns, it’s best to be prepared. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light sweater with your to sessions, just in case.

Medication
If you are taking medication, please remember to bring a few extra days’ supply to the conference, in case you decide to stay longer than anticipated. In addition, we recommend that you also bring the following with you: a list of your medication(s), your doctor’s name and emergency telephone number, the name of a friend or relative and his/her emergency telephone number, and a copy of your insurance card. If you are flying to the conference, please be sure to pack your medication in your carry-on bag and take it onboard with you in its original, labeled container. Do not pack medication in luggage that will be checked.

HOTEL SHUTTLE

Eaglewood Resort & Spa offers complimentary shuttle service to/from any location within 5 miles of the hotel. However, reservations must be made in advance at the hotel reception desk. So, getting to local restaurants and attractions, such as Woodfield Mall, is easy and free with a little planning.

DINING OPTIONS

Lunch on Saturday is included with A FULL conference registration or Saturday ONLY registration.

Eaglewood’s inviting restaurants feature upscale cuisine, al fresco dining and alluring views. Savor the delectable American Contemporary menu at Burnham’s, or the more casual setting of Prairie River. Ogden’s is the perfect place for a rendezvous over trendy martinis. In-Room dining service delivers our specialties right to the privacy of your guest room or suite.

Additional On-site Dining: DBSA is also working with Eaglewood to offer attendees some economical breakfast, lunch and dinner options that are lower in price than most meals in their dining rooms.

Off-site Options: Eaglewood offers complimentary shuttle service to/from any location within 5 miles of the hotel.  So, getting to local restaurants in Itasca or to any of the hundreds of options at/ surrounding, Woodfield Mall, is easy and free. Note that reservations must be made in advance at the hotel reception desk.
