WHO: Moe Keller, Former Colorado Congresswoman who wrote our Colorado parity laws. She is currently the Vice President of Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives, Mental Health America of Colorado.
WHO IS INVITED: Anyone with an interest in Mental Illness. Those with a mental illness as well as parents, family members, friends of those with a mental illness. Teachers, counselors, advocates - all are welcome. Content is intended for young adults/adults.
WHAT: Brief overview of:
- Proposed mental health allocations from taxes on marijuana sales
- Mental Health updates for young adults (18-30+)
- Mental Health parity in health insurance plans as required by the Affordable Healthcare Act ("Obamacare")
- Child's Mental Health Treatment Act
- Crisis Response System
- Volunteer opportunities
