If you've registered by phone, fax or U.S. mail, a confirmation letter will be sent upon receipt of your registration form and payment. Please allow three (3) weeks for your confirmation. Booking Your Hotel RoomDBSA has negotiated a very reasonable rate ($109 single/double) for attendees at the DBSA conference hotel, the Miami Hilton Downtown. Visit the Hotel and Travel section of the conference website for information on booking your hotel room by phone or online. Note room check in time is 3:00 p.m. Should you arrive early, you can check your bags with the hotel bellman and explore the city while you wait for your room to be ready. Getting to the ConferenceBe sure to visit the Hotel and Travel section of the conference website for information on things like discounted parking, Greyhound bus, and METRO and Amtrak train options, airport taxi services, and much more! Checking in at the DBSA Conference Registration DeskIf you're registered for the Chapter Leadership Forum (CLF) that takes place on Friday, you'll receive your conference materials when you check in for CLF on Friday morning. Please note you need to bring your conference badge and program with you when you board Saturday's free shuttle to Saturday's sessions at the ICBD hotel. So, if you're not attending Saturday and Sunday's programming, be sure to check-in at the DBSA Conference Registration desk on Friday or early Saturday morning, before boarding the shuttle. DBSA Conference Check-in and Registration Hours Friday, June 14, 2013: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Friday Evening's Attendee Orientation and Meet & GreetJoin us for a 30 minute session on how you can get the most from your conference experience on Friday evening, 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Then join your fellow peers at the Conference Meet & Greet from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Here you'll mingle with other attendees, conference presenters and DBSA staff. Room TemperatureConference meeting rooms often fluctuate in temperature. While we and the hotel do our best to stay on top of temperature concerns, it’s best to be prepared. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light sweater with your to sessions, just in case. MedicationIf you are taking medication, please remember to bring a few extra days’ supply to the conference, in case you decide to stay longer than anticipated. In addition, we recommend that you also bring the following with you: a list of your medication(s), your doctor’s name and emergency telephone number, the name of a friend or relative and his/her emergency telephone number, and a copy of your insurance card. If you are flying to the conference, please be sure to pack your medication in your carry-on bag and take it on board with you in its original, labeled container. Do not pack medication in luggage that will be checked. Dining OptionsLunch is included with your conference registration for the days for which you are registered—Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday. Breakfast and dinner is on your own. The Miami Hilton Downtown offers several on-site dining options. There are also numerous additional restaurant options just steps from the Miami Hilton Downtown.
