Stronger Together: Please Help Us Spread the Word

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), the nation’s leading patient-directed organization focusing on the most prevalent mental illnesses, is hosting our national conference, Stronger Together this June in Miami, Florida. This three-day conference offers individuals living with depression or bipolar disorder and their family members, friends and health care providers the opportunity to connect with education, inspiration, and the support of others who’ve “been there.”

We’re asking for your help to spread the word about this weekend of hope, help, and support, so that everyone involved with mental health issues has the opportunity to participate in this affordable, information-packed, one-of-a-kind weekend filled with powerful, peer-centered, educational workshops presented by leading mental health experts and educators, distinguished authors, and innovative advocates including keynote speakers Patrick Kennedy, Melody Moezzi, Priscilla Ridgway, and Victoria Maxwell.

This year, the conference offers a unique opportunity with a DBSA and International Society for Bipolar Disorder (ISBD) Partnering for Success joint day. This day offers individuals the opportunity to brainstorm with some of the world’s leading clinicians and researchers on strategies for improving collaboration to enhance effective outcomes. The conference also provides a day for individuals to learn about creating impactful, peer-led support groups and a day for peers to learn from each other and leading mental health experts about strength-based wellness strategies.

Held at the beautiful Hilton Downtown Miami, the conference offers individuals living with depression or bipolar disorder and their family members, friends, and health care providers, 4 compelling keynotes, more than 30 educational workshops, 2 post conference institutes, and a side-splitting Stand-Up for Mental Health comedy night featuring David Granirer and 10 conference students. Join us to connect with the skills you need to discover and employ your own personal strengths for better living.

DBSA would be most grateful if you would consider including an article or notice about our national conference in your publication, print or e-mail newsletter, and/or on your website home page or in your events and/or calendar section.

Should you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like printed brochures or flyers to distribute to your constituents and staff, please contact DBSA Programs Coordinator, Whitney Holmes, at (312) 988-1178 or wholmes@DBSAlliance.org.

Thank you so much for helping us promote this unique and empowering weekend—providing hope, help, and support to those living with, or affected by, mental illness.

With sincere appreciation,
