WHO WE ARE: The Ventura, CA chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. We focus on self-help offered in a safe and accepting, peer-to-peer, confidential environment.
WHAT WE ARE: We are a caring group of peers who hold open, free voluntary meetings and offer this peer-driven online message board.
WHAT WE ARE NOT: A substitute for therapy or treatment by a professional; a place to receive a diagnosis or a 12-step group,

EVENING MEETING
Every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Church at 6950 Ralston Street (& Johnson Drive) in Building 300, Room 301 in the city of Ventura. Park in the parking lot off Johnson Drive. Info & Directions: (805) 201-0619
DAYTIME MEETING
Every 1st & 3rd Saturday from 1:00 pm-3:00pm at the Adult Wellness & Recovery Center at 56 E. Main Street in Suite 103 (& Ventura Avenue) in the city of Ventura. Info & Directions: (805) 201-0619. (Beginning June 7)
HOW MUCH WE COST: Meetings are FREE and open to the public though we may request voluntary donations to help defray costs related to maintaining our meeting location and for occasional refreshments.
WHY WE MEET: To improve the lives of people living with mood disorders and support each other in our quest toward recovery.
WE INVITE our peers who suffer from depression and bipolar disorder (also called manic depression) to visit our support group meetings and participate in a dialogue with each other on these pages.

About the Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA)
DBSA support groups are open to anyone who is diagnosed with a mood disorder, has a family member or friend who is diagnosed, or who thinks they might have depression or bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression). DBSA support groups are not run by professionals, but instead offer peer-to-peer support which is an important component of recovery from mental illness for many people.
DBSA is the nation’s leading patient-directed organization focusing on the most prevalent mental illnesses depression and bipolar disorder.
